Another tricky fixture for rookies Surestream

Surestream FC

Rookies Surestream FC, who are winless in the top-flight TNM Super League, get yet another test of their pedigree this Saturday when they face Mighty Be Forward Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Surestream lost both their games against Blue Eagles 4-2 and Big Bullets 3-1 but their ever upbeat technical director Peter Mponda remains upbeat that his youthful charges will pick up.
“I wouldn’t say the two losses were a confirmation that we are failing to stand the heat. I think we played well, but made some silly mistakes which could have been avoided.
“We have yet another tough game against Wanderers coming up, but we are not moved. This could be the turning point. We are now working on the posological aspect of the players and that means raising their spirits,” said Mponda.
The former Flames captain remained adamant to suggestions that his team lacks experience.
“I still insist that we’ll do with the players we have,” he said.
Nomads coach Elia Kananji admitted that it is going to be a tricky contest.
“Surestream are not an ordinary side, of course they are new in the Super League, but with each passing game, they are settling down,” said Kananji who is set to accord new catch from Civo United Jabulani Linje his debut.
The star-studded Nomads, have depth in quality and they will look up to Muhammad Sulumba, Jimmy Zakazaka, Luka Milanzi, Isaac Kaliyati, Stanely Sanudi, Linje and Francis Mulimbika while Peter Msowoya, Bernard Chimaimba, Flames trialists Ernest Tambe and Brightone Munthali, Levison Maganizo and Isaac Mwale, carry the hopes for Surestream.
Defending champions Big Bullets, who have a 100 percent record, take on Kamuzu Barracks at Dedza Stadium.
The People’s Team are buoyed by its wins over Silver Strikers [2-1] and Surestream [3-1]. In another match slated for Saturday, Epac FC host another winless side Mzuni at Civo Stadium.
On Friday, Airborne Rangers and Civo, who are both winless, meet bin their quest bto collect full points while at Nankhaka in Lilongwe, Blue Eagles and Red Lions will be fighting for the top slot as they have six points apiece.
