The Football Association has since 2002 invested heavily in girls’ and women’s football in Malawi and will continue to do so.

Over recent years the association has successfully established Elite Women’s Regional League and two national teams; The Women’s Senior National Team and the Women’s Under 20 National Football Teams.

FAM has also launched a number of programme aimed at increasing increase participation levels.
