BT Zero, DD, CY top first round tables

Blantyre Zero, DD Sunshine and CY Sisters have finished on top of the FAM Women’s League first round for their respective regions.

The three remain unbeaten in the 2021 season and have collected the maximum 21 points from the seven games in the first round.

Southern and Northern Regions have finished their first-round fixtures while Central region remain with two fixtures following the postponement of two games involving Skippers and TC 11 as well as Hungry Lions and Destiny Academy due to venue issues.

Blantyre Zero are the overall highest scoring team across the three regions with 69 goals and have conceded just one goal against Attu Bullets. CY Sisters have scored 68 goals and conceded two goals while DD Sunshine on the other hand have 43 goals against 3 goals.

Central Region side Chilinde Queens is the only team without a single point across the three regions while Northern region’s Sanwecka Sisters have a point from a one-all draw with Chicago Sisters.

Moyale Sisters’ Chippo Ngwenya is the overall leading scorer with 26 goals and while Blantyre Zero’s Zainab Kapanda and Skippers’Linda Kasenda lead the Southern and Central Region charts with 21 and 17 goals respectively.

The League will not have mid-season break and the second round will kick off this weekend.
