Malawi Defence Force (MDF) outfit Mafco are now on top of the TNM Super League summit following a 2-0 win over rookies Dedza United on Sunday in Dwangwa.
Mafco boast a 100 percent record having won all their three games so far and to add extra spice, they are yet to concede a goal.
Emmanuel Chipeta and Paul Phiri scored for Mafco.
They have scored six goals, representing an average of two goals per game and their biggest win was the 3-0 thrashing of Silver Strikers.
Mighty Wanderers, Big Bullets, Blue Eagles and Red Lions are behind Mafco with seven points each
Wanderers pipped rookies Surestream FC 1-0 at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday. Cameroonian import Lionel Asu shined in his official debut for the Nomads after being thrown in as a second-half substitute, replacing Jimmy Zakazaka at half time.
He struck the priceless goal with just seven minutes to full time after being fed by his striking partner Muhammad Sulumba to send the blue side of town into frenzy.
At Dedza Stadium, Big Bullets came from a goal down to hold Kamuzu Barracks.
Kelvin Malikebu put Bullets ahead, but new signing from Karonga United Eneya Banda levelled the score in the second half for Bullets.
On Friday, Blue Eagles and Red Lions also shared the spoils by settling for a 1-all draw at Nankhaka Ground.
Silver Strikers registered their first victory on Sunday after beating Mzuni 2-0 on Sunday at the latter’s backyard, Silver Stadium. The previous day, Mzuni stunned Epac FC 1-0.
Azam Tigers beat Civo United 1-0 in another match.
