The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is pleased to report that the 2025 NBS Bank Charity Shield match between Silver Strikers FC and Mighty Wanderers played on Saturday, 29th March 2025, at Bingu National Stadium, was a resounding success.
This year’s season opener generated MK61.7 million from ticket sales, MK60 million from NBS Bank sponsorship, and MK5.1 million from broadcasting rights, bringing the total revenue to MK126.8 million.
The detailed income and expenditure report below provides an overview of the NBS Bank Charity Shield, which achieved a net income of MK65.7 million, marking a 50.6% increase from the MK43.6 million raised in 2024.

FAM is also pleased to announce that this year’s Charity Shield proceeds will be directed towards the health sector, with further details to be shared with the public soon.
