Willy Kumilambe Names Squad for Inaugural CECAFA beach soccer Tournament

Malawi National Beach Soccer coach Willy Kumilambe has named a 17-member squad ahead of the inaugural 2025 CECAFA Beach Soccer Championship, scheduled for July 16–20 in Mombasa, Kenya.

Malawi was invited by CECAFA to participate in the championship as a guest nation.

Malawi are in group A alongside Burundi, Zanzibar and Kenya.

The team will kick off their Group A campaign against Burundi on July 16, before facing Zanzibar the following day.

They will conclude the group stage against hosts Kenya on Saturday, July 19.
