Unbeaten Civil return Top

Civil Service have returned to the summit of the TNM Super League table following a 4-0 win over Ntopwa FC at the Chiwembe Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Civil Servants, who remain the only team yet to register a loss this season, have displaced Silver Strikers as they have 24 points, two more than the Central Bankers who were on bye this weekend.

Muhammad Sulumba and Moses Banda scored Civo’s first two goals in the first half before Blessings Tembo and Binwell Katinji added the other two in the second time.

Coach Franco Ndawa was excited that the team is back on top of the table.

“It was a hard game because Ntopwa is an equally good side, but I told my boys to pressurise them in their own half,” said Ndawa.

Ndawa’s side go back to the Central Region with four points following a one-all draw with Mighty Tigers on Saturday.

Karonga United have gone back North with three points after beating Kamuzu Barracks 1-0 on Sunday courtesy of a William Mwalemba’s well taken penalty.

The team lost to TN Stars with the same margin on Saturday .

The league’s week 10 action continue on Wednesday as Be Forward Wanderers take on Ntopwa FC at Kamuzu Stadium.
