U17 GIRLS AND BOYS TEAMS OFF TO SOUTH AFRICA FOR COSAFA

The Malawi U17 Boys and Girls National teams have this morning left for Johannesburg, South Africa, for the Cosafa championships.

The tournaments will take place between 3rd and 14th December 2024.

The boys tournament will act as qualifier for CAF TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations.

Malawi Boys who are in group A alongside Mozambique, Lesotho and Angola will play their first match against Mozambique on December 4th with the second match against Angola scheduled for 6th December. The last group stage match will be against Lesotho on December 8th.

The two finalists for the tournament will book a place at the TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Ivory Coast next year.

The Girls join South Africa, Namibia and Madagascar in the competition and they will play their opening match against the hosts on December 5th.

Their second match is against Madagascar on December 7th while the last group stage match against Namibia will be played two days later.
