Top 8 Final tickets to be sold in advance

Football Association of Malawi has announced that tickets for the upcoming Airtel Top 8 final between Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikes scheduled for Saturday at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre will be sold in advance.

FAM Commercial and Marketing Director Limbani Matola said the association the tickets will be available at Limbe Market Total Filling Station, Ndirande Energem Filling Station and Kamuzu Stadium Offices from Thursday morning.

“Preparations for the final match are at an advanced stage and we would like to inform all football loving Malawians that tickets for the match will be sold in advance from Wednesday afternoon.

“People that will buy these tickets in advance will pay less than those that will buy on match day. For instance, advance tickets are selling at K1500 for open stands, K2000 for MBC stands, K3000 covered stands and K5000 for the VIP whilst on match day, the tickets will be sold at K2000 open stands, K3000 MBC stands, K4000 covered stands and K7000 for VIP. We want to encourage fans to have the tickets in advance a save money,” he said.

Matola added that the pre-sale of tickets will also reduce congestion at the gates amidst the new Covid-19 variant .

“On the match day, tickets will be sold at Kiosks that will be mounted outside the Stadium and no tickets will be sold at the gates. This has been done to make sure that people enter the gates without hustles because this is a big match and we are expecting a lot of people.

“Pre-selling will also help us prevent further spread of Covid-19 because people will not be crowded at gates for tickets like it has always been.”

“Lastly, we would like to stress that there will be tight security on the day and no one will have access into the Stadium without a ticket so everyone should buy the tickets,” said Matola.

The association has in the previous Airtel Top 8 season four matches been printing the tickets on the match day and they were being sold at the entrance gates.
