Support Battalion only surviving lower league side in Carlsberg Cup

Bullets' Mussa Manyenje tries to beat a Silver Strikers Reserves defender

Following the weekend matches, Support Battalion is the sole surviving team in the Carlsberg Cup.
The Chipiku Central Region Football Association (CRFA) Premier League side beat Civo United 1-0 to qualify for the quarter-finals in which they will face Silver Strikers .
Mphatso Mlauzi scored the lone goal for Battalion.
Defending champions Big Bullets also sailed through  after beating Silver Strikers Reserves 3-0 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Bullets, who are the defending champions, will meet Mafco in a bid to qualify for the semi-finals.
Jaffalie Chande scored the first goal for Bullets in the 30th minute from a Yamikani Fodya freekick.
Five minutes later, Bullets surged further ahead when Mussa Manyenje headed home Fischer Kondowe’s corner kick
Amos Khamula closed the scoresheet in the 64th minute when he connected home a Fodya cross.
Be Forward Wanderers edged Chilumba Barracks 1-0 through Mapopa Kaunda’s strike. They will face Dedza Young Soccer Stars who sent Azam Tigers packing through post-match penalties having settled for a one-all draw in regulation time.
Moyale beat Red Lions 4-3 on penalties to set up a quarterfinal encounter against Kamuzu Barracks.
