Silver Strikers Youth win FCB U-20 Championship

Silver Strikers Youth are the national champions of the 2022 First Capital Bank Katswiri U20 League following a 2-0 victory over hosts Chigwere 11 FC at Kasungu Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Central region champions on Friday defeated Northern Region’s MK Academy 3-2 to book a place in the final while Chigwere FC beat Southern region Champions Chinamwali Stars 2-1 in the other semifinal.

Adrian Kaduya was the hero for the Junior Bankers as he claimed a brace within two minutes to hand his team the national championship.

Kaduya netted from a Dan Boston pass at 40 minutes before slotting an Emmanuel Jumpha pass a minute later. 

There were no goals from either side in the second have making Silver Strikers the Champions.

2021 Champions Mpondasi United missed the national finals as they failed to defend Southern region championship.
