
Silver Strikers at the weekend moved up to second position of the TNM Super League following their emphatic 4-0 victory over Epac FC at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
The Bankers have dislodged Mafco who were thumped 3-0 by Moyale at Chitowe Stadium in Dwangwa.
It was the fourth straight league win for the Bankers under the guidance of Young Chimodzi and Lovemore Fazili.
They now have 32 points from 18 games, nine short of leaders Big Bullets who, however have a game in hand.
Peter Wadabwa scored a brace while Green Harawa and Lucky Malata claimed one goal each.
It was a fitting revenge for Silver who lost 1-0 in the first round.
Epac had opportunity to kill the game in the first half but squandered numerous chances.
At Chitowe in Dwangwa, Moyale were on fire against Mafco with Kondwani Chirwa claiming a double while Lloyd Njaliwa scored the other goal.
At Nankhaka Stadium Blue Eagles beat Mzuni 2-0 to make it a second successive loss for the Mzuni based side. Moyale have now moved two places up to seventh position with 24 points from 19 games.
Rookies Fisd Wizards’ struggles in the top-flight league continued when they lost 2-1 to Red Lions at Balaka Stadium. Stevie Ziba and Innocent Bokosi were on targets for the Lions while Patrick Phiri netted for Wizards.
