Silver Strikers could return to the top of the TNM Super League this weekend should they beat troubled Dwangwa United on Saturday at Chitowe.
The Bankers, who sit on second position with 23 points from 11 games, trail leaders Blue Eagles by two points.
Eagles face third-placed Mafco also in Dwangwa on Sunday.
Silver coach Lovemore Fazili said: “This provides us yet another chance to reclaim the top position as any other result could be a setback because whichever team wins between Eagles and Mafco could overtake us.”
Mafco have 22 points from 12 games.
The Bankers face the sugarcanefield side that has just suspended its head coach McDonald Mtetemera following a fallout with some of his players.
In another match slated for Saturday, Red Lions host Mzuzu University (Mzuni) FC at Zomba Community Centre Ground.
On Sunday, Be Forward Wanderers will be hoping to continue with their winning streak when they face unpredictable Wizards FC at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
The Nomads have won three league games on the trot against Red Lions, Max Bullets and Azam Tigers and will be looking forward to adding Wizards to their growing list of casualties.
But Wizards technical director and owner Peter ‘Mjojo’ Mponda said they are looking forward to bouncing back after going down 1-0 to Epac FC last weekend.
