SCORCHERS READY FOR SECOND CLASH WITH ZAMBIA

The Scorchers have a chance to redeem themselves when they face Zambia’s Copper Queens in the second friendly match tomorrow at the Reiz Arena Stadium in Lusaka.

Malawi went down 2-0 to the hosts on Sunday and will be looking forward to getting revenge on Tuesday.

Tomorow’s match kickoff, which was initially scheduled for 3 PM, has been adjusted to 11:30 in light of the latest weather forecast which predicts heavy rains in Lusaka in the afternoon.

Scorchers Head Coach Lovemore Fazili is confident the girls will get a result on Tuesday.

“The team is in good shape. Our main concern was defending set plays as we conceded both goals in the first match from dead-ball situations.”

“Our tactical approach will remain the same, but we’ve emphasized to our strikers the need to be more clinical if they manage to break through Zambia’s defense.”

“We’ve addressed our weaknesses in today’s training, analyzed Zambia’s vulnerabilities, and we plan to capitalize on them.” He said.
