Scorchers ready for an upset in Lusaka

The Malawi women’s football team co-caretaker coach McNelbert Kazuwa says the girls are geared to upset the Zambians in a 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations second leg tie this afternoon at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

The two teams played out a one all draw in the first leg last week in Lilongwe and Kadzuwa says though the team struggled at BNS they have worked on their shortfalls

“We struggled in the firt half of the first leg but that was a different game. We are expecting that our girls will do better because we have rectified all the problems that we had in Lilongwe.

“Our approach will be different. We will attack from the first whistle because goals are what we want in this match . We have told our girls not to give the copper queens a chance to play because that will make them control the game since they are at home so we believe the girls will do as planned,” said Kazuwa.

The aggregate winner between them will face Namibia who defeated Tanzania 5-3 on aggregate.
