The Malawi National Women’s Football team will meet Congo in the first round of the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 Qualifiers.
This is according to the draw conducted in Morocco today.
The first round will be played between the 17th and the 26th of February 2025, while the second round will be played between 20th and 28th October 2025.
The winner between the two teams will face the winner between Angola and Zimbabwe in the second round.
Meanwhile, the Malawi U20 Women’s team will meet the Central African Republic in the first round of the 2026 U20 Women’s World Cup African Qualifiers. The winner between Malawi and the Central African Republic will meet the winner between South Sudan and Djibouti in the second round of the Qualifiers.
The matches will be played in two legged fixtures with the first leg of the first round scheduled for 9th to 11th May 2025 and the second leg between 16th and 18th May 2025.
The first leg of the second round matches will be played between 19th and 21st September 2025, while the second leg has been scheduled between 26th and 28th September 2025
