MEDIA RELEASE
Pursuant to Article 41 of the FAM Statutes (2019), the Football Association of Malawi Executive Committee (“the Committee”) held its 2nd 2025 Executive Committee meeting on 4th May 2025 at Sunbird Capital Hotel in Lilongwe. Various issues that are critical to Transforming the Game of Football in Malawi were discussed. Some of the key resolutions and approvals made during the meeting include-
- The Committee ratified the appointment of technical panels for Women Junior National Teams as follows
(A) Under 20 National Team
Head Coach – Maggie Chombo Sidiki
First Assistant – John Chimwala
Second Assistant – Scolastica Khunga
Fitness Coach – Patricia Makwakwa
Goalkeeper Coach – Wilson Mkandawire
Team Manager- Lina Mtegha
Team Doctor – Emma Ching’amba
Physiotherapist – Martha Chimwala
(B) Under 17 National Team
Head Coach – Chisomo Nkhoma
First Assistant – Thom Kazembe
Second Assistant – Levie Phone
Fitness Coach – Collins Pofera
Goalkeeper Coach – Chimwemwe Chitedze
Team Manager – Thokozani Muskambo
Team Doctor – Glory Mukhumba
Physiotherapist – Wezzie Nkosi
- The Committee resolved that teams participating in the NBS Bank National Division League should be provided with MK15 Million Kwacha subvention for their operations in the competition per season.
- The Committee resolved that all national team player allowances and game bonuses for both men and women should be equal in the respective categories.
