Red Lions in last 16 of Carlsberg Cup

Red Lions on Wednesday pipped Blantyre United 1-0 in Zomba to qualify for the last 16 of the Carlsberg Cup.
Former Cobbe Barracks forward scored the loan goal for the Zomba-based soldiers.
Peter Makwale scored the lone goal in the 68th minute to send Lions through.
They join other teams such as Kamuzu Barracks (KB), Azam Tigers and Mzuzu United.
Lions will face the winner between Balaka Eagles and Civo United Youth who are playing on Saturday.
KB thrashed Msundwe United 7-0, Tigers edged Cobbe 2-1 while Mzuzu United ousted Mchengautuwa 4-3 in post-match penalties after playing out a one-all draw in regulation time.
Be Forward Wanderers, who have been drawn against the reserve side, are the defending champions.
