Phiri Jnr on target for Baroka

Flames midfielder Gerald Phiri Jnr scored his second goal of the season to inspire Baroka FC to a 3-2 win over Stellenbosch in a DSTV Premiership mid-week encounter.

Phiri scored the third goal in the 90th minute as Baroka ended a two match losing run.

He finished with a left footed shot from the centre of the box after being put through by Evidence Makgopa.

” Big three points today and happy to get on the score again. On to the next one,” said Phiri on his Facebook page.

His cousin and compatriot Richard Mbulu was unused susbtitute.

Gabadinho in action against Arrows

Elsewhere Gabadinho Mhango replaced Thembinkosi Lorch in the 60th minute but could not help Pirates claim maximum points as they were held to a goalless draw by Golden Arrows.

Flames defender Limbikani Mzava was not part of the match day squad as Amazulu drew 1 all with Supersport.
