Ntopwa to know their CAF Women’s Champions League-Cosafa Qualifiers opponents today

Ntopwa Super Queens will today know their group stage opponents in the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League |COSAFA Qualifiers.

Cosafa will conduct the draw for the third edition of the competition, which will take place between August 30 and September 8 in Durban, at 11:00Hrs this morning in Johannesburg.

The draw will see eight Cosafa region teams placed in two groups with defending champions Green Buffaloes from Zambia and runners up Mamelodi Sundowns heading the two groups.

Top two teams in each group will proceed to the knockout out stage with the competition’s winner representing Cosafa region at the CAF Women’s Champions League finals to be hosted by Ivory Cost later this year.

The 8 teams are that will participate at this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League Cosafa Qualifiers include Costa Do Sol(Mozambique), Double Action (Botswana), Green Buffaloes (Zambia), Lesotho Defence Force (Lesotho), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Ntopwa FC(Malawi), Olympic De Moroni(Comoros) and Young Buffaloes (Eswatini).

Ntopwa is the first Malawian club to participate in the competition.
