Defending champions Mighty Be Forward Wanderers were made to work hard for a passage into the last 16 of the Carlsberg Cup by their own Reserve side as they struggled to a narrow 1-0 win.
The senior Nomads scored in the 51st minute through a Peter Wadabwa header.
But other than that, it was the Reserve side that had numerous scoring opportunities, daringly controlled the midfield and striker Tilembe Jeke will curse himself for failing to register his name on the score sheet.
Wanderers will now face Kamuzu Barracks in the next round.
There are more Carlsberg Cup Round of 32 matches on Wednesday with Nyasa Big Bullets playing host to giant killers Master Security FC at the Kamuzu Stadium.
Wizard FC will host Blue Eagles at their former base MDC stadium while Warm Heart will play Mzuni at Nankhaka.
Moyale Barracks will be at home, Mzuzu stadium against Karonga United while the biggest of them all is the Capital City derby between Silver Strikers and Civo at the Silver Stadium.
The only match on Thursday is a lakeshore derby as Mafco lay rivals Dwangwa United at the Chitowe Stadium while the last Round of 32 match will be played on Saturday between Prison United and Epac FC at the Zomba Community Centre Ground.
