
Flames attacking midfielder Robin Ngalande has returned to BidVest Wits having been released by Ajax Cape Town at the end of his one-year loan stint.
This comes after the South Africa Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit decided against signing him permanently.
Ajax website reported that the former Atletico Madrid youth prospect has returned to his parent club alongside other players whose time is also over.
“A host of players who joined the club on loan are now at the end of their loan spells, which means that Clifford Mulenga, Robin Ngalande, Erwin Isaacs and Thabiso Nkoana have all departed from Ikamva. Phatizwe Sacolo was released after failing to live up to expectation after spending a few months at the club,” read the club’s statement.
Ajax announced that they had released the players such as Ngalande ahead of the start on Tuesday of pre-season preparations for the 2015/16 Absa Premiership campaign.
“We bid a farewell to a number of players from last season’s PSL campaign. We wish all of these departing players all of the best with their careers in football and beyond life in football. We sincerely hope they all enjoyed their stay at Ajax Cape Town,” added the website.
Ngalande wa shopeful of clinching a permanent deal, but sadly he only few appearances at Ajax.
