National Women’s Championship semifinal lineup complete

The Semifinal line-up for the inaugural FAM National Women’s Championship is complete with a week to go before the end of the group stages.

In group A, Blantyre Zero and Skippers have qualified for the last four after finishing first and second respectively following the complete of the group’s fixtures over the weekend. Zero are on top with seven points from three games while second-placed Skippers FC have six points.

Ntopwa sit on third position with four points while Moyale Barracks have finished their group stage matches with no point having lost all their games.

With two games remaining to wind up Group B, Ascent Academy and DD Sunshine are through to the semifinals as they sit on position one and two respectively with nine points each while CY Sisters are third with three points.

The two remaining fixtures for the group will have no impact as CY Sisters’ highest points will be six.

Bangwe Super Queens have finished their four group B matches with three points while Topik have no point with one match remaining as they host CY Sisters at Mzuzu Stadium next weekend.

DD Sunshine will be meeting Ascent Academy in Lilongwe to determine group B winners.

Ascent Academy defender Rose Kabzere leads the scorers’ chart with seven goals while CY Sisters’ Vitumbiko Mkandawire has six goals. Linda Kasenda, Ireen Khumalo and Gladys Banda have five goals each.
