
Flames coach Ernest Mtawali will on Friday name his final squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Group L qualifier against Guinea’s Syli Nationale.
Malawi will meet Guinea in Conakry on March 25 while the return leg is slated for four days later at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Mtawali is expected to name 18 players for the Conakry battle at a press briefing at Chiwembe Technical Centre.
The Flames will depart Sunday for Siera Leone enroute to Guinea.
They will play a training match against Siera Leone on Tuesday March 22 in Freetown before proceeding to Conakry the following day according to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) general secretary Suzgo Nyirenda.
The Flames are third in Group L with a point just like the Guineans, who however, anchor the group due to an inferior goal difference.
