Mtawali went to Mozambique on Friday and returned on Monday evening. He had a chance to watch  two games game where striker Chawanangwa Kaonga  and midfielder Chimango Kayira were in action for the respective clubs Chibuto FC and Costal De Sol.
Apart from Kaonga, he however managed to meet all Maputo based players like goalkeeper Simplex Nthala and striker Zicco Mkanda Mtawali also held talks with coaches of all the teams that have Malawian players.
“I also spoke to top sports reporters as well as guys from the Mozambique FA and the league who gave me a picture of how our players are doing.
“I also managed to collect a series of DVDs of Mozambique league and cup matches where I will be able to assess the players further.I have made strong contacts that will help me easily monitor players in Mozambique from here.I would like to thank FAM for this opportunity,” he said.
Mtawali also said he has  made a proposal to FAM that he should also go around monitor other players in other countires like Taonga Chimodzi in Greece.
