South African based midfielder Micium Mhone has arrived in the country to join the Flames camp ahead of next week’s back to back 2017 Afcon qualifiers against Guinea.
The Jomo Cosmos , who is the only foreign based player to join the team in Malawi as the rest will fly straight to Guinea is confident that Flames will get results in both matches.

“It is good to be home but it is important that I will be training with the rest of the squad as at my team we are on break up to the 13th.The Guinea matches will give us a picture to our qualification chances. But we are determined to get all the six points and then finish off in the last two games,” said Mhone.
He comes into camp on the back of playing a crucial role as his relegation threatened Cosmos earned a stunning 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday. His head pass set Mxolisi Macuphu to score the only goal on the match five minutes from time.
The win came barely three days after Cosmos suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat at the hands of Orlando Pirates.
“It was an embarrassing result against Pirates. It was my first time I played on a team that lost 5-0. But we bounced back in style against Chiefs.
“We will survive relegation we have more games at home and we will do well,” said Mhone who added that he has settled down well seven months after joining the Ezinkosi.
Flames play Guinea away in Conakry on 25th March before hosting them at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre four days later.
Both teams have a point and no win after two matches in group L which has Zimbabwe and Swaziland sharing top spot with four points each.
