Media Release: FAM sympathizes with Cyclone Freddy Victims

The Football Association of Malawi has expressed its heartful sympathy to the affected families and individuals who are enduring unspeakable suffering due to the devastating Cyclone Freddy that has hit most Southern parts of Malawi.

FAM President Walter Nyamilandu Manda said: ” The tragedy, with its loss of life, property and the suffering of the people who have been affected, has distressed the entire Malawi Football community.

“On behalf of FAM and the entire Football fraternity in the country , We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims who are bereaved of their beloved ones .We wish to convey our solidarity with all those affected at this time of great sorrow .

“We call upon everyone in our beautiful game to share the difficulties of the people in the affected areas and help them to return to their normal lives as soon as possible. It is my hope that with our collective effort and support they will overcome the tragic consequences of the floods and storm.”
