PRESS STATEMENT ON THE POSITION OF HEAD COACH FOR SUPER LEAGUE CLUBS AS REGARDS TO FAM CLUB LICENSING REGULATIONS
The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) wishes to remind all Super League Clubs that it is against the FAM Club Licensing Regulations to use a coach during official matches in both the League and Competitions who does not possess a CAF B Coaching License (as minimum).
The use of a qualified coach shall entail the following:-
→ Being allowed to take full control of the technical area
→ Being allowed to stand on the touchline and issue instructions to players and team officials
→ Being answerable to the conduct of his technical staff who do not abide with the Regulations
The use of non-qualified coach will attract a fine of MK500,000.00 and a deduction of three (3) points every time a non-qualified coach is used. All other persons who do not possess a CAF B as minimum requirement will not be allowed to stand on the touchline and issue instructions with immediate effect. Failure to do so will attract a fine of MK50,000.00 per match.
The SULOM General Secretary is requested to ensure that teams do comply with the Regulations and report on the teams that will not abide with it.
