Mabedi names final squad for Guinea Match

Malawi National Football Team Coach Patrick Mabedi has named a 27-member final squad for Saturday’s  TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier against Guinea in Lilongwe.

Mabedi has included in his squad four foreign based players namely captain John Banda of UD Songo, Costa Do Sol striker Richard Mbulu, Zanaco forward Chawanangwa Kaonga and goalkeeper Brighton Munthali of Black Leopards.

Mbulu, Munthali and Kaonga have arrived in the country this afternoon  and joined the team’s camp in Lilongwe while Banda will arrive tonight.

The following is the full  squad:

Goalkeepers: Brighton Munthali (Black Leopards), Clever Mkungula ( FCB Nyasa Big Bullets), Austin Chirambo (FCB Nyasa Reserves)

Defenders: Stanley Sanudi, Lawrence Chaziya (Mighty Mukuru Wanderers), Mark Lameck     (Blue Eagles FC) Nickson Mwase, Tatenda M’balaka (Silver Strikers), Blessings Mpokera (FCB Nyasa Bullets) Yamikani Mologeni (Bangwe All Stars) Daniel Chimbalanga (MAFCO), Chembezi Denis (Unattached )
