Kwimbira gets first CHAN run

Malawian FIFA Referee Bennerdetter Kwimbira will today officiate her first match at the ongoing 2020 CAF Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Cameroon.

Kwimbira, who is the only Malawian among the 47 referees at the tournament, will be the Second Assistant Referee in a group D encounter between Guinea and Namibia to be played at Limbe Omnisports Stadium from 20:00 hours.

Kwimbira captured during a fitness test

Before the tournament Kwimbira and the rest of the selected referees attended a 5-day pre-tournament course between January 11-15, where among other things they underwent Medical and fitness tests.
