Kumwenda in Mauritius for a TD’s leadership workshop

FAM Technical Director Kumwenda is in Mauritius for a three-day FIFA Leadership Workshop for African Technical Directors.

The workshop, which started on Wednesday, is aimed at equipping the Directors on how they can be influential leaders and help in the growth of football in their respective member associations.

Among other things, the TDs have learnt about how they can create a positive working environment for their subordinates, leadership capabilities as well as problem solving skills. The technical leaders have also undergone negotiation skills where they have been drilled on how they can liaise with their Executive Committees to apply for development project under FIFA Forward.

Media relations skills is also another topic that the TDs have covered as they have been taught how they can engage and reply to media enquiries.

The workshop brought together 22 TDs from African French Speaking and English speaking countries.
