Striker Esau Kanyenda  has now been issued a work permit by the Department of Home Affairs in South Africa.
The battle hardened forward, who plays for Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Polokwane City, yesterday confirmed having obtained his work permit.
“I have waited for the document for sometime and I am now relieved.
“I cannot wait to bounce back into action,” said the 33-year-old forward.
Kanyenda’s first game in likely to be a league match against giants Orlando Pirates next Tuesday.
“It wouldn’t be any better than making a return against Pirates.”
Meanwhile, Jomo Cosmos local-based agent Ben Chiwaya has clarified that Micium Mhone was not available for last Saturday’s league match against Platinum Stars because he had not been fully registered.
“His work permit was ready but there were some issues to do with his registration that needed to be finalised, but everything has now been sorted out. He will definitely be available for the match against Bloemfontein Celtic next Thursday,” he said.
Gerald Phiri Jnr who recently signed for Bidvest Wits is awaiting a residence permit.
“I qualify for a residence permit because one of my father’s parents is from here [in South Africa], but the process takes a bit long,” he said in a telephone interview from South Africa yesterday.
