Kamwendo back at Maculmana

Kamwendo(Right) in Mazembe colours

Former Flames captain Joseph Kamwendo is set to revive his romance with top Mozambican club Liga Maculmana which has signed him outright following discussions with his former DRC club TP Mazembe.
Kamwendo and broker of the deal James Nelito Pondomale confirmed that the player will join the Mozambican club this week after agreeing personal terms.
“It is true that I am going to finish my project in Mozambique, Liga has called me.
“I am happy to rejoin the club that values my contribution so much,” said Kamwendo, who has also been recalled into the Flames fold by coach Ernest Mtawali.
His manager Pondomale confirmed that the former Nordsjaelland (Denmark), Orlando Pirates (South Africa) and Be Forward Wanderers midfield star, has severed ties with Mazembe.
“All I can confirm is that Joseph has rejoined Liga Maculmana on permanent basis but I cannot go into details,” he said.
Kamwendo, who will turn 30 later this year, had a stint with Maculmana in 2013 where he was spotted by Mazembe during the CAF Champions League.
