Into Sport donates training equipment to Flames

The ‘Kuipatsa Moto Flames’ fundraising campaign got a big boost on Friday morning as Sports Accessories dealer Into Sports donated training equipment worth K1.5 to the Flames.

The equipment, which is aimed at helping Flames preparations for the 2021 AFCON finals, include  8 menniquins, 2 sets of shalom poles, 100 marker cones and 50 cones.

Into Sports Director Shabil Ismael said,  as a local sports dealer, his company has always been looking for ways to support the national team.

“After the team qualified for Afcon we have been discussing with the resource mobilisation taskforce and noted that the team lack some training equipment hence the decision to give them some,” said Ismael.

FAM First Vice President and Chairperson of the Flames Afcon Resource Mobilisation Task force Justice Jabbar Alide hailed Into sports for the gesture saying the donation is a big boost towards his committee’s efforts to ensure the Flames have all the necessities for the Africa Cup of Nations

“The equipment that Into Sports has given us today is very beneficial to the Flames. We believe that this will improve the team’s performance as they will have diverse training activities using the new equipment.

“Our Committee intends to raise funds of not less than K450 Million Kwacha . We have a number of activities lined up to make this possible so Into Sports has just bailed us out on the equipment part,” he said.

Among other fundraising activities lined up by the Committee to raise funds for the Flames’ AFCON participation are a Golf Tournament scheduled for 2nd October 2021 which will be graced by the State Vice President Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima, Dinner and Corporate Social Football Competitions in all the regions.

The 2021 TotalErnegies Africa Cup of Nations will take place between January 9 and February 6 2022 in Cameroon.
