Goshen FAM Women’s Regional league first round winds up

The 2024 Goshen FAM Women’s Regional League first round concluded last weekend in all the three regions with close battles in the top two.

Southern Region:
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Ladies are leading the Southern Region Log table with a remarkable 25 points from nine games after winning eight matches and one draw.

They have scored n outstanding 82 goals while only conceding 7, giving them a massive goal difference of 75. Their top form is highlighted by Tendai Sani, the league’s top scorer so far, who has netted 35 goals.

Defending champions, Kukoma Ntopwa women, follow closely in second place with 22 points. They have a goal difference of 50, having scored 58 goals and conceded 8. Their top player, Shabelo Bengo, sits second in the top scorer lists with 19 goals.

At the bottom of the Southern region standings,  is 11 Stars who are yet to secure a point. The team has conceded 68 goals and only managed to score 8, leaving them with negative goal difference of 60. Wakawaka Tigresses sit second from the bottom with just 3 points, having won only one match, they have a goal difference of -55.

Central Region:
Ascent Soccer Academy tops the Central Regional Table with  22 points.
The defending national champions  have been highly efficient in both attack and defense, scoring 42 goals and conceding only 2.

Civil Service Women follow in second place with 19 points and a goal difference of 17, having scored 23 goals and conceded 6.

At the bottom of the Central Region table, are Premierbet Dedza Dynamos Women  who are  yet to register a point. The team has conceded 36 goals while scoring only 6, with all goals coming from their star player, Tryness Chiwala, who is also the third top scorer in the region.

Hungry Lion are second from the bottom with 3 points, having only won once.

The Central region’s top goal scorers are Chikondi Gondwe from Sliver Strikers Ladies and Leticia Chinyamula from Ascent Academy, both with 11 goals. Jessie Yosefe from Civil Service Women and Faith Chizimu from Sliver Strikers follow with 7 goals each.

Northern Region
In the Northern region, Moyale Sisters and MK Academy are are tied at 24 points. However, Moyale Sisters’ superio goal difference gives them an edge. They scored 34 and only conceded four while MK Academy has a goal difference of 15 after scoring  20 goals against 5.

At the bottom of the Northern region, CY Sisters lost all their matches while Gafu Sisters follow  on ninth position with five points..

The top scorer in the Northern region is Shammiru Mponda from Moyale Sisters with 13 goals, while Esther Boko from MK Academy is second with 12 goals.
