FDH Bank Cup Update: North identifies national draw reps; South, Centre wrap preliminary round this week

The Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) has identified its five representatives for the Pachema FDH Bank Cup national draw.

This follows the completion of the competition’s preliminary round in the region over the weekend.

Chitipa United have made it to the last 32 after a 0-4 win over Nkhatabay select while Iponga FC beat Embangweni United 2-0.

Nkhatabay based Chintheche United sailed through after a 6-5 post-match penalty win over Mighty Rumphi Wanderers while Kadona Stars beat 3-1 Lufita FC.

Baka City completes the NRFA list having defeated Mzimba United 4-2 in the second round.

The Central Region Football Association has lined- up all five second round fixtures on Wednesday, 15th June 2022 with Kawinga FC hosting Panthers FC at Maliri Ground in the first match while Airborne Rangers will face Dedza Young Soccer at Airborne Ground.

Lilongwe Community Ground will host the match between Mitundu Strikers, and Extreme FC as Mkanda Youth and Kamuzu Barracks Reserves will battle it out at Mchinji Community Ground. Ngwanje FC and Silver Strikers Reserves will wrap the second round at Ntchisi Community Ground.

In the Southern Region, the six teams to qualify for the National phase will be know next week as the second round fixtures have been scheduled for this weekend and mid next week.

Prescane will on Friday host The Boyz at Balaka Stadium while Destiny FC will face Zomba Airbase at Mpira Stadium on Saturday.

Immigration FC will face Bangula Hammers at Mpira Stadium on Saturday while Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves will on Sunday host Ntaja United at the same venue.

The 16 teams from the Regional Leagues (five each from the center and north and six from the south) will join the 16 Super League teams in the round of 32 draw.

According to FDH Bank PLC, all regional teams that will qualify for the national phase will get a set of Jerseys, two football matches and K500,000.
