The Northern Region Derby between Moyale Sisters and CY on Saturday ended in a stalemate as both teams failed to find the back of the net in a match played at RTC ground .
Despite the draw Moyale remain on top of the table six points clear of second placed MK Academy who have 19 points from 9 games while defending Champions CY Sisters are 5th with 13 points.
MK Academy beat Bico Optical Women 2-1.
In the other matches, Topik Sisters won 6-1 over Gafu Sisters while Ekwendeni Sisters won 4-0 over Hardknockers.
In the Center, MDF Lioness maintained their top spot after being awarded free maximum points and two goals as their opponents Kamuzu Institute failed to show up. MDF Lioness are two points ahead of second placed Ascent Academy who have 22 points while third placed Silver Strikes Ladies have 21 points, all from nine games.
Ascent Academy were the highest scoring team of the week in the region having scored 11 goals past Hungry Lions while Silver Strikers Ladies registered a 5-2 win away in Kasungu against Chisomo Academy. Civil Service Women defeated Blue Eagles Ladies 3-0 to maintain their 4th place in the league.
In the Southern Region, the race for the championship between Ntopwa and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets continues as they both registered wins with Ntopwa defeating Evirom 8-0 while Bullets registered a 13-0 victory over Attu Bullets.
Ntopwa are five points clear of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women with 27 points having won all their nine games while Bullets have 22 points from the same nine games.
Mighty Wanderers Queens blew their chance to get maximum points ahead of Ndirande Soccer Giants as they failed to maintain their 2-0 lead after conceded two goals in the last 12 minutes of the game.
The match between Bvumbwe Women and Red Lioness also ended in a two-all draw with Patricia Masina and Suzen Chiwaya scoring for the home side while Ether Kabano scored a brace for Red Lioness.
Evirom FC from the is the only team across all regions, which is yet to get a point since the season started.
