FAM Women’s League update-week seven

After secen weeks of actiona Ntopwa, Ascent Academy and CY Sisters are leading the log tables in the FAM Women’s League in their respective regions.

In the Southern Region, Ntopwa have 18 points after winning all their six games so far while Evirom are second with 15 points from seven games.

Defending champions Nyasa Big Bullets Women are on position three with 12 points from four games. Nyasa Big Bullets’ matches were postponed for three weeks as the team contributed five players to the National Women’s team that participated in the 2022 Cosafa Women’s Championship from August 31st to September 11 in South Africa.

Ascent Academy leads the Central Region log table with 10 points from four matches, seconded by Civil Service Women who have nine points from three games, same as Destiny Academy who are third but the former have a superior goal difference of 22 while Destiny have 7.

In the North, defending Champions CY Sisters have 19 points having completed their seven first round fixtures. CY Sisters dropped two points oner the weekend following a goalless draw with Topik Sisters.

With seven matches played as well, Moyale Sisters and Topik Sisters are second and third with 15 and 12 points respectively.

At the bottom of the Leagues are Blantyre Hotspurs, Kamuzu Institute and Gafu Sisters.

Blantyre Hotspurs have three points points having registered no win, three loses and three draws from their six matches while central region’s Kamuzu Institute have only managed to get a point from their six matches. Gafu Sisters also have a point from their seven first round matches.

The League, which started in July this year is expected to be completed by December.
