FAM Women’s League second round kicksoff this weekend

The FAM Women’s League return to action this weekend after a one month break as teams resume the battle for the three regional championships.

In the Southern region, leaders and defending Champions Nyasa Big Bullets Women will begin the second round run away as they face Chikwawa Queens on Saturday while bottom placed Blantyre Hotspurs will host Bvumbwe at Mpira Stadium.

Second placed Ntopwa will face  Attu Bullets on Sunday as Bangwe Super Queens will be hosting Evirom at Moura Stadium.

Central region has two matches this weekend as some teams like Ascent Academy and Civil Service United Women have contributed more players to the U17 national women’s team that is currently in camp in preparation for the forthcoming AUSC Region 5 Youth games.

Hungry Lions will on Saturday will meet defending champions DD Sunshine while Blue Eagles and Kamuzu Institute will meet at Nankhaka on Sunday.

In the North, MK Academy will face CY Sisters on Saturday with the latter hoping to defend the Northern region championship as Ekwendeni Sisters will be facing Topik Sisters on the same day. 7th placed Chicago Sisters will host bottom placed Gafu Sisters at Lukalazi ground on Sunday  while Moyale Sisters and Bico Women will face each other at RTC Ground.

Top three teams from each region will qualify for the national championship chich will be played early next year.
