FAM to Host Second Annual Football Awards in Blantyre

The Football Association of Malawi FAM will host the second edition of the Annual Football Awards on Friday, 6 March 2026, at the COMESA Hall in Blantyre.

The awards return following the successful staging of the inaugural Malawi Annual Football Awards in 2025, which marked a major milestone for the game by providing an official and authoritative platform to recognise excellence across the football ecosystem.

The awards celebrate outstanding performances by players and coaches in elite competitions administered by FAM, covering both men’s and women’s football.

This year’s awards will be presented across five categories: Castel Cup Awards, FDH Bank Cup Awards, NBM Women’s Premiership Awards, NBS Bank National Division League Awards, and the Overall Awards.

Nominees will be announced from Monday, 16 February to Friday, 20 February 2026, with the voting process running from Monday, 23 February to Friday, 27 February 2026.

For the Castel Cup, FDH Bank Cup, NBM Women’s Premiership and NBS Bank National Division League categories, winners will be determined by Technical Study Group members and selected football journalists. Voting for the Overall Awards will be conducted by Super League team captains and coaches, as well as Women’s Premiership coaches and captains.
