FAM tech subcommittee meets TD, Flames coach

Mtawali to present report

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) technical subcommittee will on Saturday meet technical director John Kaputa and Flames coach Ernest Mtawali at Chiwembe Technical Centre in Blantyre.
According to the committee’s chairman James Mwenda, who is also FAM vice-president, the meeting will among other things, review the Flames performance in the recent 2017 Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifiers against Guinea.
“We will get a report from the national coach and also plan on the remaining qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Swaziland as well as the Cosafa Cup,” he said.
On the part of the TD, Mwenda said he will present a report on the progress of the FIFA/FAM Under-15 League.
“We will also discuss the future of Surestream Academy, training and certification process of coaches, will also be part of the agenda as we enforce minimum qualification standards of Super League, regional and youth leagues,” he said.
