FAM, NBS hands over ventilated toilets to Salima schools

The Football Association of Malawi, in partnership with NBS Bank, on Friday proudly handed over new ventilated toilet facilities to Kanjuwi Primary School in Salima District today.

Partnering with the Malawi Red Cross Society, Kanjuwi Primary was selected to receive these facilities to benefit over 100 students, both boys and girls. The project, costing MK 43.6 million, also includes ventilated latrines for Kamphedza Primary School in the same district, significantly improving hygiene and sanitation at both schools.

FAM President Fleetwood Haiya, who presided over the project, expressed his enthusiasm, noting “These ventilated latrines are a significant step in improving hygiene and promoting a healthier environment for students.”

Since NBS Bank began sponsoring the Charity Shield in 2021, they have championed numerous community projects, all aimed at uplifting and empowering Malawians through the spirit of sport
