“As NWFA, we are saddened with the death of Mr Gondwe as he has contributed alot in developing the game of Women’s Football in the country. He was sponsoring one of the most successful teams in the country and the gap he has left will be hard to fill.

“We send our deepest condolences to our Treasurer Clara and we pray that God should comfort her in this difficult time,” said Ngwira.

Gondwe and Clara established CY Sisters in 2009 and over the years, the team has won the Northern Regional Presidential Cup three times and Northern Region FAM Women’s League twice.
