FAM Fines Changalume Barracks Over Undesignated Entry Point

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has fined Changalume Barracks Football Club K300,000 for using an undesignated entry point during their NBS Bank National Division League match against FOMO FC at Mulanje Stadium on 27 June 2026.

According to the letter addressed to the club, FAM received and reviewed reports and photographic evidence concerning the conduct of Changalume Barracks during the match.

It was established that Changalume Barracks players used an undesignated entry point to access the field of play, contrary to the National Division League Rules and Regulations.

FAM says the breach is contrary to Article 29.13 of the National Division League Rules and Regulations, which states that any club found using an undesignated entry point into the ground shall be liable to a fine of K300,000 per offence.

Changalume Barracks have since been ordered to pay the fine within 14 days from the date of the letter.

FAM has warned that failure to comply with the directive may result in further disciplinary measures in accordance with the Football Association of Malawi Rules and Regulations.
