FAM CONGRATULATES LEEDS UNITED FC AND WELCOMES COLLABORATION

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is delighted to acknowledge the invitation extended by Leeds United Football Club to Malawi’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, H.E. Dr Thomas Bisika in recognition of the unwavering support from the people of Malawi and Africa.

We warmly congratulate Leeds United on their well-deserved promotion to the English Premier League. This remarkable achievement not only restores the club to the top tier of English football but also rekindles global admiration and fan loyalty, particularly from our passionate football community in Malawi.

As FAM, we believe this gesture opens doors to deeper football and cultural engagement between Malawi and one of England’s most historic football clubs. We stand ready to explore strategic collaborations that may inspire our young talents, promote football development, and build lasting relationships beyond borders.

We commend Leeds United for valuing their global support base and for recognising the contribution of African fans in their journey.

We wish the club continued success in the Premier League and look forward to fruitful engagement going forward.
