Introduction
At its first meeting of 2016 on 9th January 2016, the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Executive Committee resolved that FAM should introduce an annual Charity Shield which will be part of the official Football calendar for elite football. The main aim of the Charity Shield is to engage, mobilize and inspire the football fans and supporters towards charitable cause of national importance. The Shield is to be played a week before the kick-off of the new season. The Shield will be a one day event involving two teams who shall be the Champions of the Super League and the Winners of the National Cup from the previous Seasons……. Click below for more
