FAM Charges Creck SC and Three Players

The Football Association of Malawi through its Competitions Committee has charged Creck sporting Club and its three players  Miracle Gabeya, Hadji Wali and George Chaomba for misconduct following incidents that occurred  during a 2025 Airtel Top 8 Quarterfinal Second Leg match between Creck and  FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Club played on Saturday 26th April 2025 at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe.

Gabeya, Wali and Chaomba have been charged with assault offences contrary to Articles 23.3 and 23.4 of the Airtel Top 8 Rules and Regulations and read together with article 14.1 (l) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.

According to the charge sheet Gabeya assaulted FCB Nyasa Big Bullets player Babatunde Adepoju by stepping on his hand in an off- the ball incident in the 23rd minute .

Wali stepped on FCB Nyasa Big Bullets player Maxwell Phodo’s hand and leg in an off-ball incident in the 90th minute while Chaomba elbowed Henery Chiwaya of Bullets in another an off-ball incident in the 49th minute.

Creck Sporting has been charged for failure  to take all the necessary precautions to prevent their players from assaulting FCB Nyasa Big Bullets players as stated above contrary to articles 23.3 and 23.4 of the Airtel Top 8 Rules and Regulations and read together with article 14.1 (l) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
