
Flames veteran striker Essau Kanyenda holds the best record for goals scored in consecutive games since the start of the South African PSL in 1996.
The Polokwane City Striker, then at Jomo Cosmos, scored in seven League games in a row during the 2001/02 season.
Kanyenda struck 11 goals – including a hat-trick and two braces – during that prolific spell between February 20 and April 13, 2002 scoring against Manning Rangers, Santos, Wits University, Mamelodi Sundowns, Bush Bucks, Black Leopards and SuperSport United.
He is followed by Orlando Pirates Striker Lehlonolo Majoro and Bidvest forward Sithembiso Ncgobo both of whom have scored in five consecutive PSL matches
