Dedza Young Soccer players celebrate their win

Dedza Young Soccer won the Chipiku Central Region Football League on Saturday after beating Dowa United 5 -0. The win took their tally to 89 points, four points ahead of the second placed Support Battalion who were held to a goalless draw by Wimbe United in Kasungu .
The team from Dedza town failed to clinch the championship last weekend after losing to Wimbe 1-0.The result was enough for Ma Young as they are popularly known to get an automatic TNM Super League  promotion .
Coach for Dedza Young Soccer Millias Pofera hailed his boys for gaining promotion into the top flight.
“It wasn’t an easy battle, My boys did everything and this is history in the making. After losing to Wimbe last week, I told my boys to forget about the loss and move on so that’s what has happened, we have gained promotion into the top flight and I am very happy. My boys have made Dedza District very proud,” he said.
