COSAFA releases fixture schedule for Flames

Flames will start their 2025 Cosafa Cup group B campaign against Lesotho on 5th June.

This follows the release of the tournament’s full fixture by the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA).

The next fixture is on June 8 against Namibia at Toyota Stadium. The Flames will wrap up their group stage matches with a clash against Angola on June 10 at Toyota Stadium and all the three games will kick off at 15:00hrs.

The winner of the group will qualify for the semi-finals where they will face tie winner of group C which has Morocco, Madagascar and ESwatini

Malawi’s last appearance in the COSAFA Cup was in 2023, where they reached the semifinals but lost to Lesotho on penalties.

They went on to face South Africa in the third-place playoff, which also ended in a penalty shootout defeat.

The Flames missed last year’s edition following the tragic passing of the State Vice President, Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima.
